The NCSA’s Board of Directors is made up of knowledgeable professionals with diverse skills, that can assist and support NCSA members. Literary Director: Nancy Gerberding
Nancy Gerberding has been a Newborn Care Specialist for the past four years, having cared for over 40 babies. This is a job she dearly loves and is deeply involved in seeing it grow and improve. As Literary Director, she will apply her love of writing in many different medias for the NCSA. She will produce a quarterly newsletter; help with writing and editing educational materials for the NCSA; assist in developing new curriculums, and put together brochures and marketing materials. Nancy minored in English, with an eye towards journalism, but a move to Arizona sent her in another direction. Before becoming a NCS, she and her husband ran a successful drafting service and engraving business, where she ran the office, marketed the businesses, handled the accounting and raised a family. She is happy to be involved with the NCSA where she can once again, use her writing skills. Nancy teaches the class across the country.

Marketing Director: Scott Ventura
Scott Ventura is the Owner and Creative Director of Integraphix (integraphix.com), a 20 year old Advertising, Marketing and Graphic Design Studio. Scott is an experienced and innovative leader that is willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done right. With over 20 years of design and management experience, he has worked in virtually all areas of design and industries. Identity, branding and marketing communications, in print and web design, and are the main focus of Integraphix.
Scott is responsible for the management, creative design and execution of Integraphix projects. He meets and works directly with large and small businesses, Fortune 500 corporations to independent entrepreneurs. His client list includes Kraft Foods, Motorola, United Airlines, CDW, Seimens, Embassy Suites, Superior Coffee and Foods, Life Fitness, Natural Choice Corp., the Insurance Design Center and many other businesses. He has international experience developing and managing print projects in Europe for several Swiss Banks.

Education Director: Renee Hayman
Renee Hayman, RN and Newborn Care Specialist has recently moved to the Scottsdale area. Renee has a BS degree in nursing and for more than 10 years was employed with women's and Children's Hospital of Buffalo as an RN specializing in medical surgical infants and premature infants. Renee also worked in Delivery, Postpartum and the Newborn Nursery. In addition, Renee has taught clinical to RN students at Niagara County Community College for many years. Her newborn experience coupled with her ability to influence others through education has not only helped her care for and successfully treat infants, but has enabled her to educate parents. Renee has started her own business as a Newborn Care Specialist in the area. She is proud to be part of the NCSA Board of Directors.

General Director: Heather Rickard
After 16 years of childcare experience, she is blessed to have a growing love for what she does. She is dedicated to her career as a childcare provider by continuing her education and accepting challenging opportunities in her field. She is experienced in working with infants to teenagers, single parents to nuclear families, preemies, multiples and special needs children. Heather is CPR Certified, a board member of the Newborn Care Specialist Association (NCSA), and a RIE (Respectful Approach) educarer. She is currently in the process of becoming a Newborn Care Specialist. Heather emphasized in Child Development for her AA degree, and in 2005 she graduated with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Marriage, Family, and Human Development.

Memebership Director: Summer Hartman
While living in Ohio she was a foster parent to numerous infants with special needs.She helped more than 30 families and 41 children.
Since moving to Arizona in 2007, and has taken care of and educated numerous families. She is the proud, and busy mother, of two young children and travels around the state caring for newborns.
She is currently the Membership Director for the NCSA and enjoys talking to people and interacting through email correspondence.
